RELEASE HISTORY

WHAT
CHANGED.

Important features, workflow changes and compatibility notes for every public Amanita Sequencer preview.

0.1.0

On the bar, as you hear it.

  • PLAY: the PLY button and the Play parameter switch the sequencer on and off while the DAW plays, on the next bar line. SNC joins at the song position; TRG starts the pattern from step 1.
  • What you see is what you hear: the playing-step frame and the sample cursor are held back by the plug-in's latency and, in hosts that report it (Bitwig does), by everything after the track's output.
  • Recording puts a note where you heard it, so playback repeats what you heard: an instrument's note lands on the step it sounded with, a sample track's note on the step heard when you pressed the key.
  • REC: a click starts live recording and stops any recording; hold REC or Alt-click for the step recorder; a right-click opens a menu with START RECORD and START RECORD STEPS.
  • Hold a step for half a second to select it, like a middle click. Alt-Shift-drag paints the selection across the steps of a track.
  • Square three-letter header buttons (PLY, SNC/TRG, REC/STP, SKP, MOD), a yellow playing-step frame with a fading trail, red for recording and a sky-blue dot for synth parameter locks.
  • A DAW loop no longer loses its end with a hosted instrument that has latency; the sound also plays through a seek and a DAW stop.
  • VST3: no locks or allocations on the audio thread before every block; a possible hang with a VST3 instrument inside and two stale-latency cases are fixed. Updated Russian PDF manual (0.1.0).

State schema v39 · reads v20–v39. Projects re-saved in 0.1.0 cannot be opened by 0.0.9 or older.

9 OCT 2026 · macOS installer: the same 0.1.0 plug-in, now with a one-line Terminal install and an installer in the ZIP. No more copying bundles or allowing them in System Settings.

Play it in, hold it long.

  • Recorder: press REC and play while the DAW runs. Each note lands on the nearest step with its note, velocity and held length; one pass is one Undo step.
  • Step recorder: Alt-click REC and play one key per step. The sustain pedal or SKIP leaves a rest; click a step to move the cursor.
  • While recording, the keyboard plays only the recording track, and a step held with the left mouse button still takes a key as its note.
  • REC lights red while waiting, flashes while recording and double-flashes for the step recorder, as on Elektron instruments.
  • Instrument LENGTH reaches 128 steps and INF on the Elektron LEN scale, and reads as a number of steps beyond one step.
  • Every step of continuous playback now plays exactly once, even at the seam between two host audio blocks.
  • The empty inspector greets you with a typed phrase. Updated Russian PDF manual (0.0.9).

Probability, musical lengths and faster note entry.

  • PROB controls the chance of playing a step, for both instrument and sample tracks, with per-step overrides.
  • Alt-drag instrument LENGTH to use tempo-linked musical durations, capped by the current step length.
  • Select steps with middle-click or left and right mouse buttons together; add Shift for multiple selection.
  • Play a MIDI key to enter notes for selected steps, or hold one step to set its note and enable it.
  • Detailed HELP cards can extend beyond the plug-in window.
  • Fixed VST3 auto-suspend interruptions in hosts such as Bitwig. Set an explicit export range when using automatic tails.
  • Updated Russian PDF manual, now available to download.
