Amanita Sequencer 0.1.0 - macOS Apple Silicon preview

Free for personal and commercial music production. See FREEWARE-LICENSE.txt.
Download only from https://sequencer.amanita.music/.

Requirements
- Apple Silicon Mac, macOS 12 or newer, native arm64 DAW.
- Hosted instruments must also support arm64. Intel-only plug-ins and
running the DAW under Rosetta are not supported.
- Includes VST3 and Audio Unit (AUv2). No CLAP or standalone application.

Installation - one line in Terminal (no security prompts)
1. Quit your DAW.
2. Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities), paste this line, press Return:
     curl -fsSL https://sequencer.amanita.music/install-macos.sh | bash
It downloads this same package, checks its SHA-256, and runs the
installer described below. Nothing needs to be allowed in System Settings.
3. Open your DAW and rescan plug-ins if necessary.

Installation - from this ZIP
1. Quit your DAW and extract the ZIP completely. Keep the installer beside
   Amanita Sequencer.vst3 and Amanita Sequencer.component.
2. Double-click Install Amanita Sequencer.command and follow its messages.
3. Open your DAW and rescan plug-ins if necessary.
If macOS refuses to open the downloaded installer, either use the Terminal
line above, or open Terminal, type /bin/bash followed by a space, drag
Install Amanita Sequencer.command from Finder into the Terminal window and
press Return. System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway also works.
Only run an installer from a package you trust.

What the installer does
- Installs for your user account only, without administrator access:
    ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Amanita Sequencer.vst3
    ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Amanita Sequencer.component
- Checks both bundles (identity, version, arm64, code signature) before
touching anything, and restores the previous installation on any error.
- Removes only the com.apple.quarantine attribute from these two bundles.
It does not change any macOS security setting.
- Keeps a previously installed version as a backup and prints its location.
To restore it, quit your DAW, move the current bundle elsewhere, then move
VST3.backup or Components.backup into the plug-in folder and rename it to
Amanita Sequencer.vst3 or Amanita Sequencer.component. Do not merge the
  old and new bundle folders.
- If an installation was interrupted by a shutdown or force quit, a retry
reports the recovery folder and stops. Keep those files, restore a
previous plug-in from its previous/ folder if you need it, then remove
the reported pending file and the empty lock folder before retrying.

Manual installation
Copy the whole Amanita Sequencer.vst3 bundle into
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ and the whole Amanita Sequencer.component
bundle into ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/. macOS or your DAW may then
block the downloaded bundles; the installer avoids that.

After installing
Add Amanita Sequencer as an instrument, choose an installed synth or drop
an audio sample onto a track, enable steps, and start the DAW transport.
If the Audio Unit is still missing, restart your Mac and scan again.

Security and preview status
This build is ad-hoc signed, not Developer ID signed or Apple-notarized.
Do not disable system-wide security protections. The included
BUILD-REPORT.txt states exactly which checks were performed.

Before updating a project, keep a backup. State schema v39 is used by this
version; it can load schema v20 onwards, but 0.0.9 and older cannot load
projects re-saved by 0.1.0. Third-party synths and samples are not included.

Uninstall by removing the two installed bundles, with your DAW closed.
